Jared Leger has broad experience with healthcare services
transactions, start-up, transitions, and ongoing management.
Jared started his healthcare career as a licensed Registered
Nurse in the operating Room. Jared quickly moved into the
business side of healthcare with a successful career in the
medical-device industry, growing a regional territory and
developing physician relationships. Jared has always enjoyed the business side of healthcare.
This has allowed him to focus on developing ancillary income
for physicians as well as Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs)
and ASC management. Jared holds a Registered Nurse
license and is CASC certified. This has allowed Jared to fully
understand both the clinical and business aspects of
healthcare management. Jared has a proven track record of successful healthcare
ventures. Jared has syndicated and operated multiple
physician-owned surgery centers. Jared has been involved
with equity based corporate ASC transactions as well as ASC development. Jared has successfully re-syndicated and
turned-around underperforming healthcare facilities. Jared also has experience in developing and syndicating
successful physician-owned Functional Restoration
Programs and Physical Therapy programs. Jared was previously a partner in a privately held healthcare
management company. He also currently owns a real estate
investment company based out of Austin, Texas. Jared holds family and faith as top priorities. He is married
and has three daughters who keep him extremely active. He
enjoys outdoor activities and travel with his family.
Vice President of Development
Bruce Johnson's experience in the HC field is broad and
spans twenty-plus (20+) years, twelve (12) of which are in the
Ambulatory Services field. In the 1990s, Bruce developed the physical therapy division
of HealthSouth in Austin, Texas and was promoted quickly to
oversee the development of HealthSouth’s Diagnostic and
Surgery Divisions of Central Texas. In 2002, Bruce was
promoted to focus exclusively on its ASC division and had
responsibility in Texas, New Mexico, Louisianna, and Arizona
for Surgery Development. While with Surgical Care Affiliates,
Bruce successfully resyndicated ASCs in Texas, New Mexico,
and Arizona. Bruce has an impressive track record and is responsible for
ASC syndications, resyndications, surgeon retention, and
surgeon recruitment. He combined these talents with a tenacious desire to form a
deal and has proved vital in the formation of physician
partnerships. Bruce has a talent for recruiting surgeons and
ensures the partnership has the synergistic mix needed for
achieving a bottom line that's successful.
Shares in an ASC are securities which are regulated by the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission). As a Registered Representative with the SEC, Bruce works with physicians interested in ownership with Arise Healthcare's ASCs. Bruce also has oversight responsibility for the individual marketing needs of ASC partnerships. Bruce ensures volume retention, same-store growth, and physician satisfaction.
Bruce also played a key role in retooling operations, which
was critical to the successful turnaround of our Albuquerque
facility. Bruce has lobbied for ASC legislation as well as other
legislation in Austin, Texas; Washington, DC; and Santa Fe,
New Mexico. Bruce's political background includes time in the
Texas legislature, both House and Senate, as well as working
for the Republican party of Texas. Bruce is passionate about his faith, his family, and his work.
He is married with one daughter.
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Wills graduated from the University of Texas with a BS,
and then attended Southwestern Medical School where he
received a medical degree. He completed a three-year
surgical residency at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas,
and a residency in anesthesiology with Virginia Mason
Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, a program which is
recognized widely for pain management training and
regional anesthesia. He began practicing pain management and anesthesiology
in Austin in 1996, and in May 2002 he founded Austin Pain
Associates (www.AustinPainAssociates.com) to further his
goal of treating patients suffering from chronic pain
syndromes in an interdisciplinary, comprehensive clinic. In addition to Dr. Wills’s expertise in managing and setting
up a multimillion-dollar ASC that focuses on pain, he also
plays a vital role in the successful start-up and syndication
of physician-owned Functional Restoration Programs. Dr. Wills has produced several successful businesses,
Many involve real estate ventures he spearheaded
personally. He has firsthand experience in the capital requirements
necessary to get a start-up off the ground. Dr. Wills has four children and is married. Two of his
children are twins. Active in church, he enjoys outdoor
family activities and boating.
Principal
Dr. Brannon Frank is Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in both Pain Management and Anesthesiology. He is a former student of Texas A&M University who received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. Next, he ventured out of Texas to train in both Interventional Pain Management and Anesthesiology at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Currently, he devotes his entire practice to improving the quality of life in patients who deal with chronic pain.
